Candelario Vigil peacefully passed away on March 19, 2026 surrounded by family. He was born in Seguin, Texas - February 2, 1942. He met Isabelle in Dayton, then later married in McMinnville, Oregon on August 24,1968. A couple years later they moved to Prosser and raised three children. He worked in the agriculture industry and last employed and retired from the WSU/IAREC experiment station for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandkids. He was a major sports fan of the Seattle Mariners and the Seahawks. He loved to fish, go to casinos; his favorite was going to the "Wildhorse" Casino Resort with his wife. He also enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, and listening to Tejano music. 

He is survived by his wife Isabelle of 58 years, Sons - Gilbert, Alex and daughter Christina. Son-in-law (Marcelino), grandsons - Nickolas, Esteban, and granddaughter Cassandra. Also, siblings Fidel Jr. (Maria), Louis (Tila), Reynaldo (Josie), Betty (Jose), Carmen (Joe), Ruben (Lupe), Ernesto (Liz), Ester (Eric), and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel Sr. and Antonia Vigil, and brothers, Alvino Sr. and Robert Vigil.
