Carla Voegele, 58, of Prosser, passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 5, 2026. She was born in Salmon, Idaho, on September 24, 1967, to Laurena and Val Franklin. Carla spent her early years in Walla Walla, Washington, and graduated from Upper Columbia Academy in 1986.

Carla and Kurt met by chance when Carla was pulled over by Kurt at Hanford, where they both worked at the time. After dating for a few years, they later married on August 6, 1994.

In 1995, Carla and Kurt welcomed their first daughter, Shaelyn, and in 1997, welcomed their second daughter, Rachael. As her girls grew up, Carla never missed a game, recital, or practice. She was an active member of her community group, Beta Sigma Phi International; a welcoming face at Highland Family Dentistry for over 15 years; and later, a dedicated paraeducator at Keene Riverview Elementary.

Carla’s love for the beach was well known to everyone around her. She delighted in antiquing adventures with her husband, Kurt, and treasured girls’ nights and weekend getaways with her best friends and daughters.

Carla is lovingly remembered by her husband, Kurt, after 31 wonderful years together; her daughters, Shaelyn (Daniel) Broussard and Rachael Voegele; her mother, Laurena Bartlett; sister, Lori (Kevin) Starr; and brother, Clyde (Merlo) Franklin. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
