Listen to Obituary

Kathleen Ann Conway Harle, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family at Sun Terrace Assisted Living in Prosser, Washington. Born on March 27, 1933, in Wenatchee, Washington, Kathy's life was a tapestry woven with family, creativity, and her faith.

Kathy was the cherished daughter of John J. Conway and Ann P. (Lapp) Conway. She grew up in Wenatchee and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1951, where her talent for writing shone through as she served as an editor for the school newspaper. Her love for learning continued as she attended Wenatchee Junior College.

On April 12, 1958, Kathy married Richard R. Harle, in a ceremony that marked the beginning of a beautiful partnership that spanned 67 years. Together, they built a life rich with adventure and love, welcoming four wonderful sons into the world: Daniel P. Harle, Kenneth M. Harle (Jill), Ronald N. Harle (Barbara), and Mitchell A. Harle (Kristen). Kathy was proud of her eight grandchildren: Brittani Basilio, Nic Harle, Rachel Williams, Brendan Harle, Ryan Harle, Mitchell Harle, Lauren Harle, and Andrew Harle.

Throughout her life, Kathy worked tirelessly and pursued her passions with determination. She began her working life at the age of 12 at Yerxa Greenhouse and Florists, illustrating her strong work ethic. In 1953, she joined the National Bank of Commerce in Wenatchee, where her dedication and talent allowed her to rise through the ranks. After marrying Richard, Kathy transferred to Moses Lake, where they started to build a life together.

In 2001, Kathy realized a lifelong dream when she opened her own business, Accents and Treasures, a crafts, gifts, and antiques store in Moses Lake. For three joyous years, she poured her heart into this venture, engaging the community and spreading her creativity. Kathy's passion for crafting never waned, and under the name "It's a Kathy Creation," she delighted in selling her handcrafted items at shows and craft malls for as long as she was able.

Kathy was also deeply committed to her faith and church community, serving as an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake and later Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser. She found joy in her connections with others and treasured her time with close friends.

Preceded in death by her son Daniel P. Harle and her brother Frank Conway, Kathy's legacy of strength and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard, their three sons and their families, along with her niece Vickie Mills, niece Sherry Moore, and nephew Jeff O'Dell, who will forever cherish the memories they shared.

The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Sun Terrace Assisted Living for the compassionate care Kathy received, and to Heartlinks Hospice for their support during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Heartlinks Hospice (heartlinkshospice.org) in Kathy's memory.

A funeral service to celebrate Kathy's wonderful life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM. As we gather to honor her memory, we remember a woman who brought strength, beauty, and creativity into the world, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
