Louis Osterman Gannon II (b. 3/10/1952 - 8/11/2025 d. 73) was a man of unwavering devotion to his family. Born in Iowa to William L Gannon I & Hazel L (Shuler) his family relocated to Mabton to aid a local hop ranch. Winning a state track & field title in High School, he went on to earn a BS in Landscape Architecture from WSU, and was privileged to spend time studying abroad during college visiting over a dozen countries. His life was profoundly influenced by his travels, appreciation of nature, and love of the arts. His most esteemed accomplishment and the perfect outlet for his creative, visionary spirit, he founded the Yellow Rose Nursery in 1987, and dedicated his life to constructing natural beauty in the Yakima Valley. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years Teresa J (de Vos), 4 sons & their spouses, and grandchildren. He was laid to rest in a private ceremony in Mabton. A wake is scheduled 9/13/2025 from 2-5pm at the Yellow Rose Nursery.
