Norma Kay Bender Went home to the Lord on July 7th 2025 at the age of 77. Norma was born in Carlsbad New Mexico on March 24th 1948 to Carl and Florence Amack.She grew up living in various States Because parents would change jobs.
She had a wonderful way of making you feel good about yourself by her carefree and upbeat personality. She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She met her brother's best friend Miles Bender in 1963 he became her soulmate and the love of her life and they married on October 21st 1967. They shared 57 and ½ years of loving and blissful marriage.
The first 8 years of marriage Norma was a Marine's wife.After returning home to Prosser she went to work for Twin City Foods where she worked for 35 years as a forklift driver.
Norma liked spending time with her family, painting, drawing, going to the casino and traveling.
Norma's impact on those around her was profound By her example we learned to have a good work that ethic the importance of kindness treating others with respect and value of a good cup of coffee
I'll always remember the time she told me that we weren't lost, we were just taking the scenic route.
As we say goodbye to Norma let's remember her for her cheerfulness kindness generosity and the Love For All Mankind her Legacy will be lived on through the efforts she had on her children grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Norma is survived by her husband Miles Bender of Prosser and her three children Carl and Ann Bender [Prosser] Norma Ann Bender [Sunnyside] Edwin and Denise Bender of [Salem Oregon] one sister Beverly and Michael Crowe[ West Richland] Four Brothers Lawrence and Tomoko Amack[ Prosser] Randy And Cha Amack [Kennewick] Keith Amack [West Richland] Stanley Amack [Norris Montana] and 13 grandchildren and 28 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Florence Amack, a sister Ruthie Grady, a brother Lauren Amack, a nephew Lauren Amack Jr, a great grandson Angel Munoz and a great granddaughter Sophia Rivera banana
A viewing will be held at Prosser Funeral Home 1220 Sheraton Avenue Prosser Washington 99350 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday July 11th 2025 with the rosary from 6:30 to 7:00 the funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 12 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1905 Highland Drive Prosser Washington With reception to follow in the church Hall
