Wife and best friend for 37 yrs, Sherry Privett announces the passing of her beloved husband, Tommy (Tom) Lee Privett age of 56 of Yakima Washington passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2025 at Yakima Washington. He was born in Toppenish Washington. He is the son of Shirley & Clyde Purdy and the late William Privett.
He grew up in Sunnyside Washington that's where he met his wife Sherry Kulhavy, they got married in Port Angeles Washington on November 5th of 1988. They moved to Zillah where he spent most of his career in forklift at warehouses.
Those who Knew him as a very passionate, funny, crazy, lovable kind of a husband, son, brother, friend and most of all uncle that his nieces and nephews love being around him. His passion in life was Hunting, Fishing, Jeeping, and Playing cards and watching the Seattle Seahawks games with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, friends, but most of all is with his dog Holly (his baby girl)!
He is survived by his wife Sherry Privett of Yakima Washington, his mom Shirley (Clyde) Purdy of Othello Washington, A mother-in-law Linda Kulhavy of Zillah Washington, 2 sisters Debbie Smith and Kathy Coughlin both of Prosser Washington, 1 brother Rick (Chris) Prudy of Sunnyside Washington, 1 brother-in-law Keith (Mikal) Kulhavy of Zillah Washington, and numbers of nieces and nephews.
He is proceded in death by his father William Privett, father-in-law Keith Kulhavy Sr., 1 sister Joy Purdy, and 1 nephew Johnny Hanson.
There will be a celebration of life at a later time in the spring.
